Where every donation goes, and why

This page explains, in plain terms, how donations move through our systems, why we take no percentage fee, and the controls that keep the process accountable.

Our fees

No percentage fee on your donation

On God Legacy Foundation does not take a percentage cut of donations. The only amount deducted is the charge made by the payment provider itself, and it is always recorded on its own line.

Platform fee on donations

People raising funds through our platform may be charged a withdrawal fee when funds are paid out. That charge is disclosed before any withdrawal is made and is never taken from a donation as a percentage cut.

Worked example — a £100 card donation

Gross donation: £100
Payment processing fee (estimate): − £3.20
Transfer charge: − £0
Net allocation to the case/campaign: £96.80

Processing fees vary by payment method and are estimates until the payment provider confirms the settled amount; bank transfers typically carry no processing fee. Figures are illustrative of the calculation only.

How donations are handled

From payment to confirmed record

A donation only counts toward a campaign's progress once it has been confirmed.

Card and online payments

Processed through our payment provider. Once the provider confirms the payment, the donation status is updated to confirmed and the amount is added to the campaign's or case's recorded totals.

Bank transfers

Donors record their intended transfer, and a finance administrator confirms receipt against the foundation's bank statement before the donation is marked confirmed. Pending transfers are never counted in public totals.

Fee separation

Processing fees, transfer charges and the net allocation are stored as distinct values on each donation record, never merged into a single deduction.

Refunds and cancellations

Refunds are processed by finance administrators only and are reflected in the donation's status and in the campaign's totals. See our Donation Policy for full detail.

Transparency is not only about fees — it is about the systems that keep this platform trustworthy.

Verification workflow

Every case and campaign passes through submission, review and a distinct verification step performed by an authorised administrator, before it can receive donations.

Audit logging

Sensitive actions — verification decisions, fee changes, refunds and role changes — are written to an internal audit log that ordinary administrators cannot alter or delete.

Data protection

Personal information and evidence documents are stored in access-controlled systems and shared only with the staff and volunteers who need them to review a specific case.
